Unbeständige Träume 作：gh0sttimes
Since the Gensokyo has been isolated from the outside world for more than 100 years, there is little documentation about the outside world. Therefore, the only source of information is what has been passed down to us by outsiders, so please forgive us for any significant loss of credibility. First of all, what I find most interesting are the two wars that took place about 100 years ago and involved the world. The first war was apparently caused by an assassination that took place far west of Gensokyo. In this war, smoke-like weapons were used in large quantities, and a large number of people died. The second war seems to have been caused by a dictatorship that existed far to the west. The technological power of that dictatorship far surpassed the current technological power of the Gensokyo, and they controlled a vast area in a short period of time. Japan intervened in the war two years later, engaging in warfare with a major power on the other side of the Pacific. At the same time, the largest land battle in history, known as the Battle of Germany and the Soviet Union, took place in the west. This war resulted in the deaths of approximately 35 million people. Fortunately, since Gensokyo had been largely uninvolved in the events of the outside world since the Meiji era, both wars only resulted in the anomaly of an increase in the number of foreign residents.

幻想郷は１００年以上前から外界から隔絶されてきたため、外界についての資料はほとんど存在しない。そのため、外来人により伝えられた情報が唯一の情報源であるため、信憑性は著しく損なわれるがご容赦いただきたい。まず、筆者が最も興味深いと考えたのはおよそ１００年前に起きた、世界を巻き込んだ２度の戦乱である。
まず、１度目の戦乱はどうやら幻想郷から見て遥か西で発生した暗殺事件が原因で起きたようだ。
この戦乱では煙のような兵器が大量に使用され、多数の死者が発生したようだ。
二度目の戦乱は遥か西に存在していた独裁国家が引き起こしたらしい。
その独裁国家の技術力は幻想郷の現在の技術力を遥かに凌駕しており、僅かな期間で広大な地域を支配した。
日本がこの戦乱に介入したのはその２年後であり、太平洋の反対側に存在する大国と戦火を交えた。
同時期に西では独ソ戦と呼ばれる史上最大の陸上戦が起きた。この戦争ではおよそ３５００万人の死者が出たという。
幸い、幻想郷は明治時代から外の世界の出来事にほぼ関与していなかったため、どちらの戦乱も外来人の増加という異変をもたらしたのみであった。
